Oops... another catching up... Our 3rd Anniversary

Nick and I actually got to get away for our anniversary this year. It was our first time leaving Molly. (I had to leave her for 2 nights a few weeks ago to go to Vegas for work, but she was able to stay with Nick, this was the first time that we were both leaving her.... big deal...) Thanks to Nana, the whole weekend was seamless. Nana came to our house to stay with Molly and I'm not even sure that she missed us. We sure missed her though!

We started our anniversary, where it all began... Salt Lake City - Temple Square. We have a tradition of taking a family photo in front of the temple every year, so this year was no different. It's crazy to see how much Molly has grown in the past year!

Nick and I stayed up in Park City again, at the Stein Eriksen where we stayed on our 1st anniversary and fell in love with the place. The food is to die for, as is the view. It is just the most amazing, relaxing place I have ever been. As we sat and at at their amazing restaurant ... in peace and quiet... we realized we had forgotten what it was like to actually enjoy a meal and not have to eat in under 15 minutes! Needless to say we sat and enjoyed it for a very long time... (but then ran back to the room to call Molly!) It was an absolutely amazing, relaxing weekend.

First Swim Class

Molly started swimming classes this Saturday. Unfortunately Mommy had strep throat, so Daddy got to take Molly for the first week... (didn't look like Molly minded one bit!) Molly had so much fun. She squealed and splashed nonstop. She's still working on the motor boat (blowing bubbles) but she's got the kicking and the arms down great! She even let Daddy lay her down on her back to float around the lazy river (once Daddy pointed out the lights on the ceiling and then she pointed out every single one).

Catching up... Seattle!!!

The three of us finally got to make a trip up to Seattle, in the middle of September. We were able to go to Missi and Ryan's wedding and reception... which was really just a Everett 5th Ward/Halls Lake Branch reunion!!! It was so much fun to see so many good friends - and all in one place! I got to take Molly and Nick to meet some Safeco (Liberty Mutual - I can't get used to that) people in the office and then some more met us for dinner our first evening in town. Molly made a disaster of the Thai restaurant, but LOVED the food! We also got to spend some time with Megs & her boyfriend Tyler as we pretended we were tourists through the city. We got to spend a few minutes with Kami & Felix & girls which was so much fun! We also stopped by to visit my girl Juli... and her doggy... but if you ask Molly, all we saw was the doggy! She was absolutely enamored! She ran and squealed nonstop for an hour. She just couldn't give the doggy enough loves... even when he would get sick of her and growl, she would just get more excited and wanted to give him more loves! Who knew my baby would be an animal lover?! And last but not least... we got to spend a some quality time with Brooke and Tyler who were so good to us by giving us shelter, food, and transportation. The trip would not have been possible if it weren't for them. We are so grateful. We love you guys! We just cannot wait until we can make our way up there again. So many good friends and such an amazing city. We need more than 3 days next time!

I have to post this because I think it is just the sweetest thing I have ever seen. This was the morning after Molly's 1st birthday bash...

Little Miss Molly is One!

Yes... I know that it has been almost a month since Molly's first birthday, but better late than never to blog, right. :)

Little Miss Molly turned one on September 4th. I can still hardly believe it! Her birthday fell on a Saturday, so we spent the day celebrating with a big birthday celebration. So many friends and family came to help celebrate the special day. There was a bounce house slide with ball pit for the kids (young and old!) to enjoy - and that they did. It was a cupcake themed party - so of course there were cupcakes of all kinds to enjoy. When it came time to open presents, Molly wasn't exactly sure what was going on for the first few, but she caught on really quick and soon enjoyed tearing them open with vigor. Then came the cake... oh boy did she have fun! She devoured and destroyed it! She had so much fun digging into it and smearing it all over her face and in her hair. She got so many fun toys, she is still discovering the excitement of a new one every day.
