Would you like extra cheese with that?

So, we are T minus 5 days to the big b-day and Molly's personality has gone into overdrive. Whether she is running around the house squealing with her tongue sticking out, or scaling the refrigerator, or sticking her tongue on the kitty's tongue in the kitten book, she is absolutely a riot to watch. Just today she has started this new thing where she gives the cheesiest grin you have ever seen. It is the most hilarious, adorable, can't-get-enough thing you have ever seen. I had to share...

Molly's First 4th of July Celebration

I recognize this post is almost 2 months late... but better late than never I say! I wanted to post pictures from the 4th of July weekend extravaganza because we did so much that weekend and had so much fun. This was Molly's first 4th of July, so it was very exciting. The weekend started on Friday night with the kids parade in Centerville. All of the Bellamy grand-kids were there, which made it that much more fun. Molly couldn't quite figure out what was going on, but she enjoyed the walk through the streets of Centerville. We ended at the park with Paces Dairy Ann popsicles. Mollly quite enjoyed the rootbeer one!

The next morning we headed to Centerville again, bright and early, for the Centerville parade. Molly absolutely loved watching all of the people, cars, floats, etc. She watched intently the entire time. Tara loved the parade too... it was a real parade with floats and bands (plural) playing patriotic music, etc (take note Hyrum City!). It really was a super parade.

After the parade we relaxed at  Grandma and Grandpa Bellamy's for awhile and then had a BBQ with the  family. Of course we played rock band - the Bellamy Family's favorite pastime (especially when Liz is in town and wants to sing White Wedding!)

After church on Sunday we headed to Hyrum to spend time with the Downs family. We began the celebration with a splendid fireworks show that Molly slept straight through (how, I will never know - with all those whistling petes and weird flower fire cracker things). Then on Monday morning we began the day with Tara's all-time favorite 4th of July tradition - the Lion's Chuckwagon Breakfast at the city square. Everyone knows that Tara can't miss this breakfast or else the whole 4th of the July is ruined (right?!) This year was even better because we had the most people there that we have had in a long time - Grandpa & Nana, Brad & Jamie, Trevor & Jacque, Nick, Tara & Molly. Then it was time for the parade. Again, Hyrum City really needs to take notes from Centerville City, but all in all it was a good parade. Molly was exhausted, as you can see in the pictures. She looks a bit comatose. We had completely worn her out by this point (go figure). And we finished off the day with a delicious Gyro at the city square after the parade.

Two week recap

I have a good reason for having not posted anything since the 'pretend I am a stay-at-home-mom day' post... Shortly after, Molly came down with a fever. She hit 103.4 while just a few hours into her dose of Motrin, so I knew she was pretty sick. We took her to the doctor and after looking in her throat, she told us that Molly had hand, foot, and mouth. :( She was one sick little girl for awhile. She would just sob through the night - in that "I hurt mommy, make it better" kind of way. It broke our hearts. She seems to be on the road to recovery now, thank goodness, although she still hasn't been able to sleep through the night since - which makes me think she isn't quite back to 100% yet. The whole thing has really taken a toll on us. Nick was kind enough to take Molly this morning and let me sleep in... which I was VERY grateful for. So, I don't have any pictures from the ordeal, but I have some one from yesterday in her super cute PJs that Nana gave her (we love them Nana!).

Pretend I am a Stay-At-Home Mom for the Day Recap

Okay... I could definitely get used to this! Today has been an absolutely amazing day!!! I took the day off of work to pretend like I am a stay-at-home-mom for the day. We started the day by putting the laundry away (mom... don't fall over in shock and disbelief... although you have every right to), then packed up and went to the grocery store... this is what stay-at-home-moms do, isn't it? Molly got her first ride in the shopping cart... and LOVED IT! Then we headed home and got packed up to go to the pool. We had a play date with little Avi and her mom Ali... and of course the rest of the ward that was at the pool. :) It was so much fun! This was Molly's first time in the pool and boy did she love it. She kept wanting to go head first into the water! Pool girl is exhausted though. She is sleeping like a baby right now. What a great day! I feel so lucky to have spent the day with my little girl, just being a mom. :)

Lagoon!

Last weekend we had the first Downs Family Day at Lagoon... in probably 20 years or more. Although only half of us were able to be there, we still have a great time. I hope that next time, all of us will be able to be there. :) (We did get to have Jamie's brother and cousin come with us, so that added to the good times!) Molly had a great time! She absolutely loves people watching - and what a better place to do it. She also loved the carousel and the train through the zoo. We couldn't have picked a better day to go... the weather was perfect! By the end of the day we were all a little wet (thanks to Rattlesnake Rapids) and very worn out.

First Steps!!!!

Today is Molly's 9 month birthday! Can you believe it?! We celebrated by going to the doctor and getting shots, hanging out with Uncle Kevin that got home from his mission yesterday...and taking our first steps!!! This came completely out of the blue. She has been free standing for a while now and cruising from sofa to coffee table etc. but she hasn't really seemed interested in walking. Then out of the blue today, while she was free standing, she decided to walk to the middle of the room. She took two good solid steps before I screamed - and then of course she looked up at me and fell down. My little girl can't be walking yet! What happened to my little peanut that wasn't big enough for her car seat?! I'll try to get a picture next time... or better yet, video!
